Regos Inspection
E-safety (or pink slip as its sometimes called) inspection report verifies your car is safe and ready for the road. It is required in New South Wales for your vehicle to be inspected, as a condition of registration renewal, if it is more than five years old.
At long reef garage we are an Authorised RMS Inspection Station and are able to carry out an E-Safety check on your vehicle if its required.

Long reef garage has fully qualified and licenced vehicle testers to carry out roadworthy inspections, and can carry out most vehicle repairs required to fulfil the roadworthy requirements and in turn affects passenger safety.
Area’s we inspection include:
- Tyre quality and tread depth
- Vehicle body condition
- Working electrics such as headlights, blinkers, interior lights and dash lights
- Engine/suspension/exhaust and driveline condition
- Seatbelt condition
- Engine and driveline fluid leaks
- Brake efficiency test
E-safety check inspection can occur up to six months prior to the registration expiration date. We can perform pink slip inspections for all light vehicles, motorcycles, caravans and trailers in NSW.
What happens if my vehicle fails its inspection?
If your car fails its initial roadworthy inspection, a failure notice will be issued by the inspector, this allows the vehicle’s owner to have the necessary repairs undertaken for the purposes of re-inspection within 14 days. Additional charges do not apply for a pink slip re-inspection provided the vehicle is returned to the same inspection station.
